Book slots for weekday training

You can now book on weekdays to guarantee continued training with the professional instructors. You cannot book less than 48 hours ahead. Click on the button below to go to a dedicated booking page.

By completing the application you are requesting a place for the day. You will be contacted by email within 24 hours by one of the instructors to confirm or otherwise. There may be spaces available during Holiday Course weeks but the course members have priority.

When you get to the day you want you will be presented with the next available time slot. Click this to make a request. However the time shown is irrelevant as you will be expected to be there for the whole day. This is just how the scheduling software works.

Help the club find new members
We all know that new members are the life blood of any organisation and no more so than the gliding movement. Help us recruit by downloading our new recruitment poster, printing it out on a colour printer and putting it on your office noticeboard, in the window of your local store, at school. And remeber there is a reward of £30 in your flying accounr for every new member you recruit. Just make sure that they mention your name when they sign up.

Land Out Poster
You know how concerned people can be when they find an empty aircraft in a field and call out the police to what they believe to be a crash. And you probably know what a waste of everyone's time, especially the police's, this is. Now you can download a simple A4 poster to print out and carry in the glider with you on cross country flights just in case. Just leave this poster in sight under the canopy.

We are always looking for new images to use on the web site and in our other promotional material. If you have any digital images that you are happy to have used on the site please email to the Webmaster. The ideal size is 400 pixels wide at 96dpi as a JPG which will then be resized and optimized to fit.

If you have conventional printed photos please leave copies for the attention of Jon Hall in the club office. They will be scanned and returned.

In all cases captions are useful, plus a date when taken and the names of the key people in the photos.

By submitting photos for inclusion you are not giving up your copyright of the images but you are agreeing to the images being used as MGC determines at any time without any remuneration.

If you want to refer to the Member's News section regularly without having to go through the rest of the site first, just go to "Latest News", click on "Tools" in Internet Explorer, click on "Internet Options" and in the "General" section "Home page" click on "Use Current". Thereafter whenever you open your browser you will be taken straight to that page.
